Foothills 2008-2009 Special Olympics Team, Gym Buddies and Coaches
About our Program:
Foothills Gymnastics and Cheer Center is proud to offer a program for children and adults with a variety of special needs.
Our program provides many opportunities for a child to utilize and expand their sensory functions including vision, hearing,
touch, gravity, body position and movement. We are looking for individuals who would like to take part in our Special Olympic
Gymnastics program. If you have a child or know of someone with intellectual special needs, please call Foothills Gymnastics
and Cheer Center.
We are also excited about our unique Gym Buddies program! The Gym Buddies program is a fun and fantastic way
to volunteer and become involved in the wonderful sport of gymnastics! The Gym Buddies work with our gymnasts who
have special needs in a regular class setting or in our Saturday morning classes specifically designed for
those gymnasts with intellectual special needs.
For more information about how to become a Special Olympics gymnast or a Gym Buddy volunteer, please call us at 864-855-9660
and ask for Penny Crocker. You may also email Penny at tigerfans@thecdr.net.

Jacob Ward and Jordan Roberts are January's Gym Buddy and Gymnast of the Month.
Jacob and Jordan both come to practice on Friday mornings
with the Liberty group. Jordan graduated in May, but loves coming to gymnastics! Jacob is Jordan's AMAZING Gym Buddy and volunteers
every Friday morning with Jordan. These two young men are best of friends and have so much fun in the gym, while still working
hard! Jacob encourages Jordan with his 10.0 smiles and high-fives. These guys are a dynamic duo and we are so very proud of
them! Congratulations to Jacob Ward for January's Gym
Buddy of the Month and Jordan Roberts for January's Gymnast of the Month!
Michelle has also been chosen for Gymnast of the Month
for January 2009. Michelle has competed with the Liberty High School group for the past two years, and graduated this past
